We are a member-based LGBTQ advocacy and philanthropy association fighting for queer acceptance and inclusion in and around Noble County, Indiana.
We trace our roots back to Kendallville's very first Pride Rally, "Pride at the Pocket Park," which was held in response to a startling increase in anti-LGBTQ rhetoric. We celebrate the anniversary of this rally as "Kendallville Pride Day." Since its inception, Friends of Dorothy has undertaken to address the needs of the local LGBTQ community by mobilzing like-minded community members in defense of LGBTQ interests, partnering with community organizations whose purpose is germane to queerfolk in some way, and providing a sense of community by having safe spaces and other events tailored to those who belong to or are allied with the LGBTQ+ community.
We are proud to support and/or have cultivated working relationships with numerous area nonprofits and strongly encourage supporters to also lend their support to the following organizations.
